Tone Unit
Task 1 - Draw a circle using the templates provided and attempt a shaded sphere.
Play close attention to building up your tone gradually.
think about where the light is coming from and your highlights and lowlights.
task 2 - draw one of the plain white mugs provided using the same technique.
make sure you are sitting at right angles to the window so you have a definate lighter side and darker side.
remember the top curve of the mug is parallel to the bottom curve of the mug.
task 3 - draw one of the plain coloured objects provided.
again, make sure you are sitting at right angles to the window.
using the coloured pencil and black pencil provided produce a coloured shaded drawing of the object.
extra task - draw one of the shells or skulls provided.
try to adjust your shading to match the feel of the object - rough shading where it is rough, smooth shading where it is smooth.
