Congratulations to Gareth McMurchy in S6 on achieving a Highly Commended award
in the RSA Schools Art award 2015, one of only 20 in the senior category across Scotland. Prize
winning entries will be exhibited in the RSA Friend's room during the New
Contemporaries Exhibition from 11th March until 10th April 2015.

winner!Congratulations to Tabitha Broatch of S2 whose design (opposite) was chosen as the Regional winner of Argyll & Bute! Tabitha’s design will be exhibited along with the winning poster and other shortlisted entries in a special exhibition at the Museum of Childhood on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. If you would like to view this this free exhibition, it is on from Friday 23 May until Monday 25 August. Exhibition dates and opening times can be found on www.edfringe.com/poster .

The Jolomo Schools Schools Painting Award 2013 We are only allowed to put in one entry for the whole school for this competition. This year's Campbeltown Grammar School entry was painted by Justine Nawrot in S5 and is called "Sunrise over Skye". For more information about Justine's well-deserved win click on the link below. |

Campbeltown Grammar School Christmas Card 2013
Closing date around October 5th 2013 (TBA - watch this space!) Design an image for the School Christmas Card 2013 and win some art materials. Your card will be printed up professionally and sold to raise money for the art department. We had two winners last year because the jusdges couldn't decide between them. They were by Iona Reid and Chelsea Mathieson in S2. (below) |

2012 Olympic Games competition - Design a Wenlock or Mandeville character to represent Scotland in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. This competition was held nationally and was won by Amy Shaw (now in S4). Amy got to work with a designer in London to render her design in 3D and it was made into merchandising for the Games. Glasgow City Council later made a life-sized version on her design which you can see in the foyer on the school. Here is the design she produced. |
