Drawing textures tips

Really look at the object you are trying to draw

Don’t put flat outlines around everything

Don’t press hard – build up texture gradually

Follow the shape of the object that you are drawing

What marks can you make to imitate the marks on your object – stippling, cross hatch short/long strokes

Where the object is darker – the texture is darker

Be Patient – TAKE YOUR TIME!
